John R Rivella, 57, of Phillipsburg, NJ, formerly of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died December 10, 2021 in Phillipsburg.
Born October 28, 1964 in Somerville, NJ, he was a son of Carol Ann (Hall) Rivella of Whitehouse Station, NJ and the late John H. Rivella.

John was a roofer in the area for many years. He enjoyed fishing at the Raritan and Delaware rivers with his nephews Joseph W. Okenka 3rd.,Troy Nelson and grandson Johnny. John knew a lot about movies and TV shows; he loved watching country westerns (John Wayne was his favorite), John also enjoyed helping his brother-in-law (Vernon) with his stock cars at home and in the pit. John was a humble, shy man with the biggest heart and he is going to be missed dearly.
In addition to his mother John is survived by a daughter Carol Ann Rivella of Phillipsburg, grandchildren Johnny and Scarlett Marion; a brother Louis and his wife Jane; three sisters, Carol Nelson and her husband Rudy, Lisa and her companion Vernon McLaughlin and Francine Rivella.
