John "Jack" P. Sullivan, 81, of Lopatcong Township, NJ, passed away unexpectedly on May 17, 2024.
Born November 24, 1942 in Jersey City, NJ, he was the very proud father of his son John Robert Sullivan and daughter Denise Sullivan-Grover. Jack was an even prouder grandfather to Matthew, Joshua, and Taylor Grover. Jack was a hardworking and dedicated husband for fifty-nine years to Christine Frances “Chris” (Fay) Sullivan, the love of his life, who predeceased him January 26, 2024 . Jack’s father, James Sullivan, a merchant mariner, and his mother, Margaret, a nurse, raised him and his four brothers, the “Sullivan Boys.”
Jack worked as a commercial HVAC technician all his life and retired from Enviromatics in Piscataway, NJ in 2012.
He enjoyed the company of his friends and family and an occasional round of golf.
Jack is survived by his son, John R. Sullivan, and his wife Martha of Stockton, NJ; daughter Denise Grover, and her husband David of Lopatcong Township, NJ; his grandchildren, Matthew, Joshua, and Taylor Grover all from Lopatcong Township NJ; his brother Gerald Sullivan and his wife Carol, and numerous nieces and nephews. Jack is also predeceased by brothers, Donnie, Eddie and Jimmy; his parents James and Margaret, as well as step-father Patrick Devaney. We find peace in knowing Jack and Chris are reunited in heaven.
