Joseph G Pugliese, Sr.

Joseph G. Pugliese, Sr, 96, of Palmer Township, PA, died March 24, 2024.

Born November 9, 1927 in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was a son of the late Nicodemo and Maria (Bisolo) Pugliese.

Joseph previously worked for the Falks store in Pohatcong Township, NJ and  was a frozen foods manager for the former Laneco supermarkets in Phillipsburg and Easton. He also served on the executive board of the United Commercial Workers Union, Local 1776.

Joseph was an avid New York Yankees and Philadelphia Eagles fan. He loved spending time with his granddaughter who was the light of his life.

Joseph was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, Palmer Township, PA.

His wife of fifty-seven years, Jeanne B. (Grandinetti) Pugliese died May 31, 2011.

Survivors include two sons, Joseph G. Jr. and his wife Lori A. of Red Hill, PA and Ralph J. and his wife Anna Maria of North Wales, PA; a granddaughter, Jennifer R Pugliese and two step-grandchildren, Michael Tralies and Amanda Mullen. Three brothers, Samuel, Anthony and Nicholas J and four sisters, Victoria M. Krosincky, Angelina Bianca, Frances Rodeo and Millie Pugliese all died earlier.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am, Tuesday, April 2, 2024 in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Roman Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Ave, Palmer Township, PA. Entombment will be in the Pugliese Family Mausoleum, Greenwich Township, NJ.
