Joyce A (Wood) Frinzi

Joyce A. Frinzi, 93, of Bethlehem, PA, formerly of Alpha, NJ, Palmer Township and Easton, PA, died February 3, 2024 at the Bethlehem North Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Bethlehem, PA.

Born April 17, 1930 in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Marvin and Sadie (Conn) Wood.

A member of Phillipsburg High School's Class of 1947, Joyce organized many class reunions over the years. She also attended Churchman's Business School, Easton, PA

Joyce was a former secretary at Phillipsburg High School, and then worked as a secretary for 25 years at the Alpha Public School in Alpha, NJ, retiring in 1988.

She was a life-long member of the Grace Lutheran Church, Phillipsburg, NJ.

Joyce was a member of the former Warren Hospital Ladies Auxiliary in Phillipsburg. She was a member of the Savvy Seniors of the former Easton Hospital. She was also an avid mall walker at the Palmer Park Mall.

Joyce liked going on day bus trips with her friends. She lunched monthly with her retired Alpha school buddies. She took delight with her children playing cards, board games, and rooting for the Eagles and Phillies. However, spending time with her grandson was the most joyful for her.

Her husband of fifty-five years, Dominick M. Frinzi, Jr. died November 24, 2006.

Survivors include a daughter, Debra A. Frinzi and her husband Bruce Allen of Bethlehem, PA; a son, Jeffrey M. of Whitehall, PA; a grandson, Timothy Frinzi of Anaheim, CA and a step-son, William Andersen and his wife Christine of McMurray, PA, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, a daughter-in-law, Beverly Moran Frinzi, (wife of Jeffrey); three brothers, Marvin Jr, Lewis and James and five sisters, Marion Lazarus, Marie Baty, Priscilla Martin, Dorothy Thomas and Jean Petrus all died earlier.

Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 pm Wednesday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S Main St, Phillipsburg, NJ. (www.noto-wynkoop.com) Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Thursday in the Grace Lutheran Church, 300 Roseberry Street, Phillipsburg. Joyce will be laid to rest with her husband in St. Mary Cemetery, Alpha, NJ.
