Kenneth E Allen

Kenneth E. Allen, 73, of Phillipsburg, died Sunday, February 20, 2011 in Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg.

Born October 30, 1937 in Easton, PA, he was a son of the late Willard and Lillian Lawrence Allen.

Ken was a roofer with Bill Bachman Roofing, Easton, from 1961 to 1999.

He was attended of the River of Life Presbyterian Church, Phillipsburg.

Ken enjoyed pitching Quoits, and played at the Order of Eagles, Forks Township and was a member of the Bushkill Valley Quoits League.

He and his wife, the former Joan Clymer, observed their 49th wedding anniversary April 29th, 2010.

In addition to his wife, Ken is survived by a son, Kenneth R., and his wife Brenda, and a daughter, Darlene M. Moll, and her husband, Lloyd, both of Phillipsburg; a brother, Norman of Aurora, Colorado; a sister, Carol Stahley of Spring Hill, Florida; and two grandchildren, Joleen Wooton and David Herscap; eight great-grandchildren, Tyler and Austie Shupe, and Macie and Miki Herscap, Emmanuel Ramos, Jayda Juarez, Julio Herrera, Jr. and Maya Herrera.

He was predeceased by four brothers, Robert, James, Nelson, Willard "Dutch"; four sisters, Ella and Betty Ahart, Mary Slack and Gladys Crompton; a step-brother, Clarence Allen and a step-sister, Olive DeHaben.

Visitation will be held from Friday, 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the church, 445 South Main Street, Phillipsburg. Services will begin at 6:00 p.m.. Cremation will be private.
