Kenneth McBride Obituary

Kenneth Richard "Dick" McBride, 84, of Holland Township, New Jersey, passed away Monday, October 10, 2022 peacefully in his sleep at the Genesis Rehab Center, Lopatcong, NJ.

Born December 24, 1938 at Easton Hospital in Easton, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Kenneth and Anna (Steele) McBride.

He was predeceased by his loving wife of 50 years, Mary Ann (Walters) McBride.

Dick had numerous jobs as a teenager to help support his family in their times of need.  A Christian man, he served many years as Sexton of the St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Riegelsville, PA and remained a lifetime church member.

With 43 years of service, Dick retired as a lab techinican from the Riegel Papermill/Curtis Papermill in Milford, NJ and spent the next 11 years working as a custodian at the Holland Township Elementary School.

He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather.  His family was his world and his greatest joy was spending time with them.

Dick is survived by his two sons Wayne R. and his wife, Antoinette of Chester, NH and Dean M. and his wife Milana of New Bern, NC; a brother Darl McBride of Kresgeville, PA; a sister Linda (McBride) Hohe and her husband Don of Coopersburg, PA.

Dick had 6 grandchildren, Dean McBride Jr, Marshall McBride, Robert McBride, Rebekka McBride, Rachel McBride, and Artemii Akinfeev.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 15th at St Peter's Lutheran Church, 305 Delaware Rd, Riegelsville, PA.
