Lydia Herleman Obituary

Lydia K. Herleman, 86, of, Franklin Township, died Saturday, May 14, 2011 in St. Luke’s Hospice, Lower Saucon Township, PA.
 
Born June 11, 1924 in Jersey City, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Gennarino and Anna DelVecchio.
 
Lydia graduated Washington High School in 1942.
 
She was a cashier at the former A&P stores in both Phillipsburg and Easton.
 
She was a member of St. Philip and St. James Roman Catholic Church, Phillipsburg. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Warren 389, and the Church Women United, Phillipsburg.
 
Her husband of fifty-five years, the late Martin J. Herleman, died May 10, 2002.
 
Survivors include a son, Martin P. “Buddy” Herleman, of Franklin Twp; a daughter, Ann Marie Shaneberger, wife of Jack H, of Bath, Pa; two sisters, Helen Gruver of and Josephine “Jo” Zoccola; two grandchildren, Matthew and Christine and a great-grandson, Blaise.
 
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main Street, Phillipsburg. Services will begin 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 a.m. in the church 426 South Main St, Phillipsburg. Entombment will be in the Holy Apostle’s Mausoleum, Greenwich Township. Online condolences may be submitted by visiting www.noto-wynkoop.com.
