Margaret A. Fortunato, 77, of Allentown, PA, formerly of Phillipsburg, N.J., died October 11, 2019.
Born August 12, 1942 in Easton, PA, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence J. and Adele Ida (Tooma) Fortunato.
Margaret was a former legal secretary for Pennsylvania State Rep. James Prendergast and Attorney Robert Ellwood in Phillipsburg, NJ. She was also an administrative assistant at Foster-Wheeler, Clinton, N.J.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Phillipsburg, where she was a former member of the church council and served on the building committee. She was also a member of St. Philip and St. James Church’s Over-Fifties Club.
Survivors include her son, Larry and his wife, Lori of Salisbury Township, PA; three sisters, Carol Nickey (Henry), Patricia Smull (John) and Laura Szabo (James) and two grandchildren, Carly and Nicholas Fortunato.
A Celebration of Life service will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 23, 2019 in St. John’s Lutheran Church, 278 Chambers St, Phillipsburg, N.J. Burial will be private.
