Margaret C. "Peggy" Vargo, 78, of Palmer Township, PA, died September 12, 2021.
Born December 1, 1942 in Phillipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ellen (Lauber) Steinmetz.
Peggy formerly worked in customer service at Phillipsburg National Bank and Trust and in the accounting department of IRCO Community Federal Credit Union, Phillipsburg.
She was a member of the Palmer Moravian Church, Palmer Township, PA where she formerly taught Sunday School. She was also a former Girl Scout leader and was a member of the West Easton Fire Company.
Peggy loved spending time with her family, helping others, and always had a beautiful smile on her face.
Peggy and her husband, John A. Vargo observed their 57th wedding anniversary February 12th.
In addition to her husband, Peggy is survived by two daughters, Heidi Kerstetter and her husband, Eric of Bath, PA and Christina Vargo of Roanoke, VA and her friends, Rob, Alex and Jonathan; a brother Charles Lamar Steinmentz and his wife Mary Ann of Pohatcong Township, NJ; four grandchildren, Brady, Carter, Kendal and Michael and several nieces and nephews.
The family requests any expressions of sympathy be directed towards a Veteran's charity of one's choice.
