Marianne Lobalbo Obituary

Marianne Lobalbo, 49, of Easton, PA, formerly of Scranton, passed away Friday, August 11, 2017, at Regional Hospital of Scranton surrounded by her loving family.

Born May 9, 1968, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the Very Rev. Theodore Orzolek of Old Forge, PA and Mary (Guman) Orzolek, of Clarks Summit, PA.

Marianne was a proud member and former choir member of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, Bethlehem, Pa. She was a kind and loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many and will be greatly missed. She would always give a smile despite her limitations. She always loved helping others and especially treasured her previous employment at St. Joseph’s Center, Scranton, as well as, being a Sunday school teacher. She graduated high school from Stuttgart Germany and Valley View High School in Archibald, Pa. and obtained her BSW from Marywood University.

Marianne and her husband Jeffrey (Deacon Geoffrey) were married on October 16, 2004 and throughout her illness, her husband remained faithfully by her side.

In addition to her husband and parents, Marianne is survived by two sisters, Nadine Breisch and husband, Warren of West Wyoming, PA and Barbara Witko and husband, James of Clarks Summit, Pa. and two nephews, Alec Breisch of West Wyoming, Pa. and Stephen Schroeder of Easton, Pa., along with several cousins.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:00 am in St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, 980 Bridle Path Rd, Bethlehem. Interment, St. Tikhon’s Monastery Cemetery, South Canaan.

Friends may call prior to the funeral services Wednesday morning between 8:30 am – 10:00 am at St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, Bethlehem.

The family would like express their gratitude to all of the nurses, aides, physicians, family, and friends for all compassionate and quality of care and love given to her.
