Mary Josephine “Josie” Corpora, 85 of Phillipsburg, NJ died April 24, 2020.

Born June 3, 1934 in Phillipsburg, N.J., she was the daughter of the late John and Rose (Frinzi) Polcari.

Josie was an Avon sales representative for more than 30 years. She was a waitress at the former Morrie’s Acre’s Restaurant, Lopatcong Township, N.J. and was a hostess at the Greenwich Inn Bar & Grill, Stewartsville, N.J. She was also a seamstress for Grace Adamo Fabrics, Phillipsburg, NJ and customer service representative for Cost Plus Distributors, Easton, Pa.

She was a member of St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church, Phillipsburg, NJ.

She was proud of her more than 30 years as a volunteer at St. Luke’s Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg and was recently honored for 10,000 hours of dedicated service. She also was an officer of the Phillipsburg Garnet Boosterettes Club.

Josie enjoyed cooking, homemaking, her grandchildren was a die-hard Yankees fan.

Her husband of 46 years, Carmelo "Carl" Corpora died September 15, 2002.

Josie is survived by two sons,  Carl "Mickey" Corpora and his wife Caroline "Christi" of Palmer Township, Pa. and John D. Corpora and his wife Joanne of Forks Township, Pa.; grandchildren, Vincent “Vinny” and Emily Corpora of Bryn Mawr, Pa., Nicholas Corpora and Kristin O’Reilly of West Chester, Pa., Olivia Rose Corpora and Nicholas Guerra of Easton, Pa.; three brothers, John and his wife Irene of Easton, Pa., Anthony “Tom” and his wife Judy of Easton, Pa. and Robert “Bob” and his wife June of Phillipsburg, N.J. and a sister, Grace Maragulia of Easton, Pa. The morning of the day Josie passed, she received the good news of the birth of her first great-granddaughter, Caroline Margaret Corpora. She was phoning her friends with the good news when she passed.  Josie's brother Vincent Polcari died September 24, 2019.
