Mary Merlo Obituary
Mary A. Merlo, 95, of Pohatcong Township, died Tuesday, March 29, 2011 in Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg.
Born January 8, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Alex and Katherine Horvath Olah.
She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Alpha.
Her husband, the late George B. Merlo, died October 20, 1992.
Survivors include three sons, George A., and his wife Charleen, of Castle Rock, Colorado, Joseph, of Phillipsburg and William, and his wife, Phyllis, of Pohatcong Township; a daughter, Judith Ann of Pohatcong Township; three grandsons,
Anthony, Joseph, Jr, and Michael Merlo and three great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Alicia and Vincent Merlo.
Three brothers, Alex, Stephen and Joseph; three sisters, Margaret, Helen Praetorius and Rose France, and a granddaughter, Kimberly Merlo, all died earlier.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St, Phillipsburg. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the church, 859 High Street, Alpha, NJ. Online condolences may be submitted by visiting
