Mary Irene (Leonard) Soltes

Mary Irene Soltes, 91, formerly of Lopatcong Township, NJ, died Wednesday, December 4, 2013 in Manor Care Health Services, Palmer Township, PA.

Born March 23, 1922, Johnstown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Leonard) Bolgar.

Mary worked for clothing and transformer manufacturing companies for many years in Phillipsburg, NJ and Easton, PA.

She was a member of St. Philip and St. James Roman Catholic Church, Phillipsburg, NJ, where she attended regularly. She was also a frequent volunteer blood donor.

Her husband, Julius Soltes, died February 17, 2005.

Survivors include a son, Gerald J. Soltes, of Northampton, PA; two grandchildren, Jeff and Rebecca Soltes; two step-grandchildren, Matthew and Evan Yarema and a nephew, Frank Kovacs, of Palmer Township, PA. Two sisters, Margaret Bonora and Helen Kovacs and a brother, Joseph Bolgar, all died earlier.

Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S Main Street, Phillipsburg. Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, in the funeral home. Entombment will be in Holy Apostles Mausoleum, Greenwich Township, NJ.
