With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, Maureen R. Garrecht, 60, of Long Valley, NJ on March 5, 2026. She was the glue that held our family together. She was the strongest, most resilient woman we knew. She was deeply family-oriented and known for how selflessness, caring, and generous she was. She loved being around her animals and rescued a few, nursing them back to health.
Born March 23, 1965, Maureen was a daughter of the late Barry and Shirley (Boyce) Leinbach.
She worked in pharmaceuticals before being diagnosed with cancer. She was also part of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Phillipsburg, NJ.
She loved reading, dancing, spending time with her family, going to the beach, and making every holiday feel special (Halloween was her favorite) and full of love. Her warmth, strength, and laughter brought joy to everyone around her.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who loved her. Her love and legacy will continue to live on in our hearts always.
Maureen is survived by three daughters: Brandy of Bethlehem, PA, Nicole of Long Valley, NJ; and Mickayla of Phillipsburg, NJ; two sisters, Lisa Cartel of Wind Gap, PA and Debbie Leinbach of Washington, NJ; seven grandchildren: Isaiah, Jamari, Michael, Jayden, Bryson, Amiri and Giovanni. A brother, Kurt Leinback died earlier.
No formal services are planned at this time.
