Peter Loreti

Peter "Pete" Loreti, 92, of Forks Township, PA, formerly of Phillipsburg, NJ, died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018, in his home.

Born Aug. 14, 1925, in Petrizzi, Italy, he was the son of the late Antonio and Cecilia (Iozzo) Loreti.

Pete was a machine operator at the former Sanko Piece Dye Works, Phillipsburg before he worked as a bulk mixer and tender for American National Can in Washington, NJ.

He was a member of St. Philip and St. James Roman Catholic Church, Phillipsburg.

Pete and his wife, the former Rosalie Santoro, observed their 62nd wedding anniversary on Aug. 2nd.

In addition to his wife, Pete is survived by his son, Frank A. and his wife, Denise, of Palmer Township, PA, and their son, Dan.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St, Phillipsburg, www.noto-wynkoop.com. Funeral services will begin at 9:15 a.m. Friday in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Friday in the church, 426 S. Main St., Phillipsburg. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, Greenwich Township.

Donations may be sent to St. Philip and St. James Church, 430 South Main St., or the Joseph H. Firth Youth Center, 108 Anderson St., both in Phillipsburg 08865.
