Ralph R Montilone

With a heavy heart and many, many tears, Ralph Russell Montilone, 61, of Palmer Township, PA, died Friday, March 10, 2023 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Anderson campus, Easton, Pa.

Born June 3, 1961 in Phillipsburg, he is the son of Ralph L. Montilone of Bethlehem Twp. PA and Kay P. (Mowery) Corona of Phillipsburg.

Ralph and his wife, the former Tami L. Craigle, celebrated their thirty-sixth  wedding anniversary in September.

He worked at Victaulic of America, Sullivan Trail, Forks Twp for many years.

In addition to his wife Tami, and parents, his stepfather, Nicholas J. Pugliese, Sr. of Bethlehem Township played a big part in raising him, along with his Pop, Richard D. Corona of Phillipsburg. He is survived by a sister, Nicole K. Schneck, and a brother Nicholas J. Pugliese, Jr., both of Palmer Twp. He is also survived by three nieces, Jenelle Montilone, Ava and Avery Schneck and two nephews, Joshua and Andrew Pugliese. A brother, Jeffrey P. Montilone died earlier.

Ralph played football for Phillipsburg High School and was on the team in 1977 when they won the State Championship.

As years passed Ralph was an avid sportsman. He played softball and baseball for  various teams, he especially enjoyed playing with the “Old Timers League” of Phillipsburg, many, many laughs.

Ralph was also a dedicated Palmer Township wrestling coach for many years.  He had a special way of communicating with the young wrestlers.  They loved, respected, and admired him and was known to all the kids as “Coach Ralph”.

There will be no services.
