Richard "Rick" Glosser, 75, of Phillipsburg, NJ, died October 13, 2021 in St. Luke's Warren Hospital.
Born October 6, 1946 in Washington, NJ, Rick was a son of the late Frederick L. Glosser, Sr. and Jessie E. (Connelly) Glosser.
Rick was a mechanic at American Can Co., Washington, NJ for over 25 years.
Rick was well known in the railroad railfan community and as a dedicated photographer who amassed a large catalog of trains over many years. His photos were published in Railpace Magazine and on
railpictures.net. He was also active in various area railfan social media sites. He was an intrical part of several railroad groups in the area, most notably the Philllipsburg Railroad Historians (PRRH) where he volunteered countless hours maintaining the grounds and providing security around the museum. He was also an exempt firefighter with the Washington Borough Fire Department, having served for 21 years. He was a devoted Cleveland Browns and Indians fan most of his life.
Rick and his wife, the former Folee Farhat, observed their 24th wedding anniversary, but had been together for 33 years.
In addition to his wife, Rick is survived by three sons, Richard and his wife Jackie of Pittsburgh, PA, Nicholas and Michael and his wife Dawn, both of Washington, NJ; two brothers, Robert and Harold, both of Washington and four grandchildren, Sophia, Lillian, Mason and Maxwell. Two brothers, Frederick Jr. and Harry both died earlier.
A visitation will be held 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm on Saturday, October 30th, in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, (www.noto-wynkoop.com) 289 South Main St, Phillipsburg. Memorial services will begin at 2:30 pm. The family requests that visitors please wear a mask for the visitation. Thank you.
