Richard Snyder Obituary

Richard Allen Snyder, 69, of Pohatcong Township, NJ, died October 25, 2016.

Born August 22, 1947 in Phillipsburg, NJ, Richard was a son of the late Harvey and Carrie (Grainer) Snyder and Lida Jensen.

He was a factory worker for Johanna Farms, Oxford Textile and Baker Chemical.

He was a founding member of the Merrill Creek Sportsman's Association and a member of the Citizen's Hose, Co.. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horse racing and bowling.

Richard is survived by his wife of 52 years, the former Madeline Wikoff; two sons Richard Jr. (Denise) and Brian (Amber); a daughter, Sherri Rossi (Michael); a brother, Frank Giamoni; two sisters, Carrie Stitzer (Bud) and Carol Giamoni Copelan (Rick), 10 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. A son, Harold Wikoff, three brothers, Joseph and Michael Giamoni and Junior Decker all died earlier.

Visitation: 6-7:30 p.m., Wednesday, in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S Main St, Phillipsburg, NJ. Services will begin at 7:30 p.m. A celebration gathering will be held 3-5 p.m, Thursday, in the Huntington Vol. Fire Co, 1 Maple St, Pohatcong Township, NJ.
