Roger Buchko, 57, of Greenwich Township, N.J., formerly of Lopatcong Township, N.J., passed away on November 25, 2020.
Born October 16, 1963 in Perth Amboy, N.J., Roger was a son of Robert J. Buchko (wife, Judy Farr) of Cliffwood, N.J., and the late Joan (Kertesz) Buchko.
Roger graduated Middlesex High School in 1981. A master woodworking craftsman, he co-founded B&B Custom Cabinets in Middlesex, N.J., and later worked as a carpenter.
In Roger’s earlier days, when he wasn’t playing darts or shooting pool, he could be found fishing down the shore, at the Musconetcong River or Merrill Creek Reservoir. He also had a passion for mechanics and enjoyed modifying trucks, mini choppers, and go carts.
In addition to his father, Roger is survived by a sister, Christine Visciano; an aunt Betty Kertesz; two uncles, Paul and Michael Kertesz; his beloved nephew Rob Buchko (Robbie to his Uncle Roger), and many friends including Dr. Ana Gomes and her family. Roger is pre-deceased by his brother Robert, who passed away in 1994.
Visitation will be held 9:00-10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 9th in St. Philip and St. James Roman Catholic Church, 426 S. Main Street, Phillipsburg, N.J. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Funeral arrangements: Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St, Phillipsburg, NJ. www.noto-wynkoop.com.
