Ruth Mowder Obituary
Ruth C. Mowder, 96, of Phillipsburg, died Tuesday, August 9, 2011 in Warren
Hospital.
Born August 28, 1915 in Elizabeth, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and
Florence Fisher Cassels.
Ruth formerly worked at the former Pohatcong Hosiery Mills in Washington, NJ; the
Frenchtown Porcelain Company, Frenchtown, NJ; Bowker’s Pharmacy, Milford, NJ
and last worked for the Del-Val Market in Milford.
She was a former member of the Milford U.C.C. Church, Milford, and was member of
the Phillipsburg Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 50.
Her husband, Samuel L. Mowder died earlier.
Survivors include a son, William F. and his wife, Laura, of Holland Township, NJ; a
daughter, Patricia Wheat of Clearwater, Florida; three grandchildren and nine great-
grandchildren. A brother, Paul and a grandson both died earlier.
There will be no services. The Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main Street,
Phillipsburg is handling the arrangements.
