Seraphina R (Merlo) LoBalbo

Seraphina R. LoBalbo, 94, of Phillipsburg, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 in St. Luke's Hospital, Warren Campus, Phillipsburg, NJ.

Born October 6, 1918 in Phillipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Carmello and Josephine Glorioso Merlo.

She was member of Ss. Philip and James Roman Catholic Church, Phillipsburg.

Her husband, the late Charles L. LoBalbo, died February 12, 1984.

Survivors include two sons, Charles T. LoBalbo and his wife, Bonnie, and Joseph T., both of Phillipsburg; two brothers, Joseph Merlo of Lopatcong and Nicholas Merlo of Phillipsburg; two grandchildren and a great-grandson. Two brothers, John and Carmen and four sisters, Mary Chillot, Josephine Marotta, Joan Sciascia and Sarah Merlo, all died earlier.

Visitation will be held 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main Street, Phillipsburg, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in the church, 426 South Main Street, Phillipsburg. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, Greenwich Township, NJ.
