Sophia Casciole

Sophia Casciole, 91, of Phillipsburg, NJ, died October 22, 2019 in the comfort of her own home with her family near.

 

Born July 23, 1928 in Montreal, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Rosario and Noraine (Nolasco) Mackera.

 

She was a member of St. Philip and St. James Roman Catholic Church, Phillipsburg, N.J.

 

Her husband of 53 years, the late Anthony Casciole, Sr. died Sept. 24. 2004

 

Survivors include a son, Anthony Jr. and his wife Debbie of Phillipsburg; a daughter, Diane Dalrymple and her husband Michael of White Township, N.J.; two sisters, Sylvia Mackera and Vicky Baronowski, all of Montreal, Canada; two grandsons, Ryan and his wife Sarah and Adam and his wife Mallory; three great-grandchildren, Quinn, Evelynn and Charlotte. A brother, Albert and two sisters, Josephine Lahaie and Nellie Germano all died earlier.

 

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg. www.noto-wynkoop.com. Services will begin 8:45 a.m., Monday in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 a.m. in St. Philip and St. James Church. Entombment will be in the Holy Apostles Mausoleum, Greenwich Township, N.J.
