Viola K. Terry, 94, former longtime resident of Holland Township, NJ, died peacefully on December 2, 2024 in Williams Township, PA.
Born September 12, 1930 in Alpha, NJ, Viola was a daughter of the late George and Kathleen (Lehr) Barbadora.
Viola was a former shipping clerk for Koh-I-Nor in Bloomsbury, NJ. She also worked as an assembler for the former N.Y. Transformer Co. in Alpha, NJ.
Viola was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Alpha, NJ and a member of their Lady's Altar Rosary Society and Sanctuary Guild.
Viola was a woman of strong Catholic faith who was a devoted wife, sister, and aunt.
Her husband of sixty-one years, Clarence E. "Tex" Terry died April 22, 2021.
Survivors include two brothers, Donald and his wife Gail of Lopatcong Township, NJ and Dr. Bernard of Cincinnati, Ohio and a sister Leona Albert of Phillipsburg, and many nieces and nephews. A brother Richard and Viola's twin sister Eleanor both died earlier.
Visitation will be held from 8:00 am to 9:00 am Saturday, in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S Main St, Phillipsburg, NJ. (www.noto-wynkoop.com), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Mary Catholic Church, 830 Fifth Ave, Alpha, NJ. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
