Yolanda M. Rymond, affectionately also known as "Lolly", 89, of Lopatcong Township, NJ, died peacefully in her home Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
Born September 13, 1935 in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Salvatore and Nancy (Limata) Amoroso.
She was a secretary and office clerk for nearly thirty years at Phillipsburg High School, retiring in 2000.
She was of the Catholic faith. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was diligent in keeping in touch, always sending thoughtful birthday and holiday cards. She had a habit of embracing people, becoming a bonus mom and grandma to many. The family has enjoyed hearing numerous stories of the lasting impact she had on a wide range of people, even stretching back to her time at Phillipsburg High School. Her greatest joy was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, bird watching and reading.
She and her husband R. Preston Rymond observed their fifty-eighth wedding anniversary March 25th.
In addition to her husband, Yolanda is survived by two sons, Edward Thomas Lattig, III of Whitehall, PA and Shawn Rymond of State College, PA; two daughters, Erika Vangelo and her husband Michael of Forks Township, PA and JoAnn Pfefferle and her companion Greg Gyurkovics of South Daytona, FL; a son-in-law, Glen Stevens of Upper Mount Bethel Township, PA; a brother Joseph Amoroso of Bethlehem, PA; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. A daughter, Christine Stevens, a grandson, Jason Pfefferle, a brother Anthony Amoroso and two sisters, Ida Russo and Mary Tarsi all died earlier.
