Harry French Obituary

Harry L. French, also known as Chuck and Frenchie, 72, of Phillipsburg, NJ, died February 7, 2022 in Complete Care at Brakeley, Lopatcong Township, NJ with his family by his side.

Born April 11, 1949 in Easton, PA, he was the son of the late George W. French and Charlotte B. (Foulk) French - Olah.

Harry was a truck driver most of his life, and was last employed by Praxair in Bethlehem, PA for many years.

Harry loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to the casino. In his earlier years, he loved to go camping and the annual trips to Canada with his family. He loved attending antique car shows with the love of his life, Debbie to show off her 1969 Ford Mustang. He enjoyed hanging with his friends at Joe's Steak Shop's Cruise nights in Phillipsburg on Tuesday evenings.

His wife of 35 years, Debra K. (Pursell) French died August 25, 2015.

He is survived by two daughters, Danielle Matarazzo and her husband Charles of Blairstown, NJ and Laurie Kline and her husband Joseph of Phillipsburg; two brothers, Glenn French and his wife Tracee of Palmer Township, Pa and Joseph Olah of Nazareth, Pa.; two sisters, Belinda Bray and her husband Ted of Phillipsburg and Lisa Picione and her husband Joseph of Bethlehem Township, Pa.; five grandchildren, Brooke and Charlie Matarazzo, Katie Untamo and her husband Andy, Sarah Kline and Lindsay Kline and her fiance Patrick Weaver. Two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Rose Weaver and Adam Untamo and many nieces and nephews.

A sister, Lynda Maloney died in 2018.
