My deepest sympathy to the entire Heymach family, and to Giovanna and Nina as well. I had not seen Vickey in years, yet I continuously think and remember her, specifically when helping to plan the "prom" event that she started. This prom has continued annually for 11 years, for individuals with developmental disabilities. One day, in 2007, an adult with disabilities, expressed to Vickey she was sad that she missed out on attending her prom because of her having a disability. Rather than just be a good friend/ staff and listen, Vickey brought an enormous group of staff and volunteers together, to host a prom for that person, and an entire agency! The event was so appreciated, enjoyed, and loved, that it became an annual occurrence. Vickey was a person who could make me, and even a young man who was part of the army at the time, dress up as "Spice Girls" to be laughed at, and be thankful to do it. Since taking the lead of organizing this, with a committee of residents that grows each year, I have always hoped Vickey knows how amazing her efforts were, and continue to be. Vickey is the example of how one kind person, can go above and beyond, even just once, and end up bringing joy to so many, some she has never met, even after she is no longer there. On behalf of the many people who have shared in dances, tons of laughs, and a million smiles, THANK YOU VICKEY... you are remembered so very fondly!

Vickey,

I am so blessed by God that you were my sister, an inspiration in my life, and the person who led me to the Lord. I know you prayed for me your entire life and cared for Jerry and I when Mom passed away when we were young. I am still in shock that you are gone and almost feel as if I am waiting for you to call, but I know you are in glory with God. You suffered with so many infirmities while you were in a coma, yet God created a miracle for all of us who prayed for you by bringing you out of the coma and keeping you stable. God gave you and us this chance to tell each other that we loved one another, increased our faith by his Grace of bringing you out of the coma, and being able to talk to you on the phone like we had done in the past. I guess we thought that you would stay with us for a greater time than you did, but God gave us the gift of having you around for a little longer and decided to take you home in Glory were you are in the mansion that he has prepared for you; being hugged in the arms of Jesus. I also know that you are celebrating with family who preceded you in heaven and those of us who are still here on earth stay strong because we know we will see you again because of Jesus making a path for us when he went to the cross. A day will never pass where I do not think about you; just as a day has not passed when I have not thought about Mom. You have touched the lives of so many people that remain on this earth from your kindness, love, and personal ministry in leading people to Christ. I know that you have heard, "Well Done Though Good and Faithful Servant!" This gives me peace in my heart. I will never stop loving you and we will meet again in heaven. Your loving brother, John.

I am so blessed to have known this beautiful woman of God and to call her my family. She and Phil saved my life by sharing their faith and pointing me in the right direction as a teenager. I am forever grateful for their selfless love and giving hearts. I don’t grieve like the world does because I know where Vickey is today. God bless your family and comfort you. My deepest sympathy to Phil and the entire family. Vickey was much more than a niece, she was more like my baby sister and friend. As much as everyone will grieve and miss her we know that she is in the arms of our savior. Hope to see you soon for a very special Family Reunion.

I was saddened to hear the news of your wife Vickey's passing. You always spoke of her fondly, I knew she meant a lot to you. Please know that you and your family are on the minds of the staff at Kingwood. All the best to you and your family in this time of grief.

I am comforted in knowing that I had the opportunity to praise and glorify Christ with you the last day that you worked at ICF. I will always have fond memories of the "joy" we shared, often over the phone, during the course of business - regarding our mutual faith in Jesus Christ. It did not take me long to detect that you had (have) an intimate relationship with Christ. "Christ in you - your hope of glory." Considering the vastness of time, you have been blessed by God to beat us to the finish line by a "millisecond." May Jesus Christ richly bless you!
