Giuseppe Viscomi, 88, of Coopersburg, PA, formerly of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away April 20, 2019.
Born May 31, 1930 in Petrizzi, Italy, he was a son of the late Pietro and Teresa (Alcaro) Viscomi.
He was a member of Ss. Philip and James Roman Catholic Church, Phillipsburg.
He was a former machinist at Ingersoll-Rand, Cameron Pump Division, Phillipsburg.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-five years, the former Rosa Fortebouno; a daughter Teresa (Gene) Lienhard, Peter (Maria) Viscomi and Nicola (Malena) Viscomi; seven grandchildren, Peter Viscomi (fiancee Meghan Kohler), Sabrina Viscomi, Mary Lienhard (Bobby) Bellamy, Emily (Matt) Sweitzer, Michael A (Jen) Lienhard, Adrianna Viscomi, Dominick Viscomi and great-grandson, Maximus Bellamy; two sisters, Caterina Marascio of Domodossola, Italy and Giovanna Celia of Petrizzi, Italy, and many nieces and nephews. Six brothers, Antonio, John, Nicholas, Francesco, Domenico and Rafaele and two sisters, Rosa Santoro and Elisabetta Marascio all died earlier.
Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, and Thursday, 8:15 to 9:15 a.m., in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S Main St, Phillipsburg. www.noto-wynkoop.com. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 in Ss. Philip and James Church, 426 S Main St, Phillipsburg. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, Greenwich Township, NJ.
